When It's All Over...
...It's Over... Right? No, Not Necessarily
Contacts for life: Students of the Marine and Environmental
Science program can feel free to contact any member of the program staff for guidance or general assistance
concerning research projects, university or community college queries. Ocean Educations provides you with
a lifeline to people who have travelled in the path you are planning and are only too pleased to help you as necessary. Whether your question involves a career decision or post secondary education
issue, we are here for you. Students from previous sessions stay in contact, providing them with a valuable
resource to assist them in the challenges that they face after high school.
Relevant Excursions:
Opportunities to observe relevant demonstrations of previous subject matter frequently
arise after we return from the summer and are back in school. In this event, students are contacted via newsletter and are
invited to attend a fascinating demonstration involving the previous course work.
Here students visit the Diving Research Facility at the Defence and Civil Institute Of Environmental Medicine.
Program Assistantship: We understand how important it is to have relevant work experience behind you.
For this reason, Ocean Educations hires Program Assistants to assist in the day to day operations of this unique outdoor
summer program. Typically, our Program Assistants are in second or third year university/community college programs and
are seeking experience in laboratory operations, field research and academic program leadership. These summer work terms
can be invaluable to anyone whose career paths will involve teaching, environmental and oceanographic studies.
